2023 AOY Rules

CRWAA will handle all point calculations and updated results will be posted on our website.

No minimum number of events are required to gain points

There will be 7 events to obtain points. Only 4 of which will be counted towards AOY total. If you fish all 7 events, your worst point totals will be thrown out.

The following events will be AOY Qualifiers. Tri-Cities, Umatilla, Potholes, Moses Lake, Banks Lake, Kettle Falls and Boardman.

Points will be awarded with 1st place receiving 100 points, 2nd place 99 points, 3rd place 98 points, and so on.

Bonus points will be awarded for the top 3 placing teams. 1st place will receive an additional 3 points, 2nd place will receive 2 points and 3rd place will receive 1 point.

If there is a tie, all teams involved will receive split points between positions. (Example: two teams tie for 5th place, 5th & 6th place points added and divided by two. (96+95)/2=95.5 awarded to each team). The following boat will then receive the next available points (7th).

At the conclusion of an event, the results will be updated within one week. At that time any protests may be made until the next event begins.

Protests will be handled by the CRWAA board, and all decisions will be made final in a timely manner.

If there is a tie in AOY results, the tie breaker will go to the highest place in any one event. If tie is not broken, it will continue to second highest placing in any one event.
