2026 Angler of the Year Rules & Qualifications
CRWAA Angler of the Year is once again sponsored by Ranger Boats & Spokane Valley Marine. The winner will be presented with a Ranger Prize Package from Spokane Valley Marine. Top 3 anglers will be awarded prizes.
CRWAA is proud to announce the Youth Angler of the Year is back again as well. Youth Angler of the Year is sponsored by Jess Ford of Grand Coulee. Prizes provided by D’s Fishing Spot will be provided to the top 3 youth anglers in 2026.
- 2026 Angler of the Year will be awarded to the person with the highest point total in their best 4 events.
- To qualify, an angler must compete in at least 2 river events & 2 lake events. Kettle Falls will serve as a wildcard and can be considered either a lake or a river. Youth contestants are exempt from body of water qualifiers.
- River events consist of Tri Cities, Umatilla, Kettle Falls & Boardman.
- Lake events consist of Potholes, Banks Lake, Moses Lake & Kettle Falls.
- Once an angler has qualified, they may use their best 4 finishes whether they’re river or lake. Example: an angler fishes all 7 events (thus “qualified”) they may use 3 river finishes and 1 lake (or reverse) if that gives them the most accumulative points.
- Tie breaker will be determined by the best single finish of any one event. If needed we will go to the 2nd best finish, then 3rd and so on.
- Angler of the Year will be presented to the winners at our annual Boardman banquet on Saturday July 18th.
